DAY SEVEN - 21.05.2012

Welcome friends
First of all sorry for the long gap. It is due to increased speed in studying, practicing the language. In actual, it is 13th day of my study course. I would be giving you the posts as it is (i.e., 6 days lagging). Kindly bear with me.

Some useful hints

In a sentence, when Noun is

मैं (I/my/me)  - हूँ would be coming in the end.

तुम (You)  - हो would be coming in the end.

वह,यह (He/She/It)  - है would be coming in the end.

हम (We/Our/Ours)  - हैं would be coming in the end.

वे,ये (They/Their/Them)  -  हैं  would be coming in the end.

and the symbol '!' is a full stop in a sentence.
Keeping it in mind, let us move to the next lesson.

LESSON 3
MEANINGS- LESSON 3

The above words are some new words coming in the following lesson. In all these meaning pages, there exists some examples of question and answers related to that lesson in the end. Try to read them and translate them in your own language.

The above lesson is translated in my mother tongue- Tamil and request you to try it in your own mother tongue.

LESSON 4
MEANINGS LESSON 4

These Lessons 3 & 4 are done in home and got corrected on the day for new learning.

LESSON 4 (A)

LESSON 4 (B)

After writing and reading these two lessons, have a look at the following rules about Command Sentences. It would be useful for you in the upcoming lessons.

Command Sentence
In commanding sentences,
When we speak with elder people, add
verb + इये
Ex: Verb: जा (go)
Sentence: आप  जा  +  इये  (जाईये)

When we speak with younger people, add
verb +
Ex: Verb: जा (go)
Sentence: तुम  जा  +    (जाओ)
Meaning of मत-don't
Sentence: तुम मत जाओ (you don't go)

There are some exceptions as always and they are

Exceptions

For the following four verbs, the command sentence-verb would be different as below.
                    younger                    elder
give  -   दे      दे+ओ= दो         दे+इये=  दीजिये
take  -  ले      ले+ओ= लो        ले+इये= लीजिये
drink -  पी      पी+ओ= पी     पी+इये=  पीजिये
do    -   कर     कर+ओ= पी    कर+इये=  कीजिये

All the best friends. Hope You would understand the load in subject which delayed my posts in time.

Practice up to your satisfaction that you have confident on yourself.

You could realize, how easy is the language- Hindi.

See you on the next post- Day Eight

Unplanned

Yeah!, This post is really unplanned but happened

RAIN
Yesterday!, when I was returning home from office, I was being stranded in road for more than 30 minutes due to heavy rain. Even though, we all love to have rain due to its advantages to the environment and humanity, how many of us love watching, keep enjoying  rain, in a stranded place?.

You may be!!

I could not able to do!

For the first 10 minutes, I was loving to watch the heavy fall of rain with lightning and thunder under a tree which has large number of branches and leaves, until it wet me.

Once, I found it, wet me, I moved from there in rain to an another place, nothing other than a temple's entrance. I use to remember the following proverb always.
Don't live in a place where there is no temple!!!
And I always use to doubt these guys that they had mis-interpreted it. It seems here is no street without a temple in TIRUPUR.

GAIN
Not only money, the gain-expectation makes many dead like stone.
I was standing there for more than 20 minutes in the entrance. There, Mr. Sakthivel, a business magnet, millionaire known to me came out of the temple and had a glimpse at me and got in to his car.

Do you imagine, what I could have done?

I wished him!

Remember, I may know him, but not he?

This may be, in an expectation that he might help in future for us, the development in the field of cricket or something that we might not know! (An info: He is the patron of District Cricket Association of Tirupur)

This is not the topic which we are going to see here. I request you to see it in detail, here.

DISCOVERY
Remember not invented!

The rain reminded me, of my school days and my thinking and questions which were so cute to me while studying and turned to be a laughter now.
While raining, I found the following things that were new to me (alone) and felt shy for myself to had missed them for the past 30 years.
  1. When the lightning is so bright, sharp and concentrated in less area, the thunder is very heavy and blasting like atom bombs. (Could you understand my inability to explain the nature with itself. I had used an inventory to compare the nature)
  2. When the lightning is glittering in uniform, around an area of about the possible vision of 45degree angle i.e., might be around 800 meters and above, the thunder is uniform and sounds like large number of big drums playing for around 5 to 8 seconds.
  3. When the lightning is blinking in uniform around the same area as above, the thunder is light but like the same above, in addition, it is like a waving of sound (not echo)

Note: Time lagging for thunder was 5 to 8 seconds after lightning.

The rain was visible to had registered up to 10 to 15mm for human eye. But the actual record would be varying with the amount of water reached ground/ absorbed by ground in uniform, I guess!

Even though, I could not entertain the rain in a stranded place, I thought of my kids about their reactions and enjoyment and missed them with the happenings.

I registered the rain drops falling in the world's foremost, unmatched camera and hard disk nothing other than my eyes and heart.

It is a double feeling of enjoyment and the anxiety.

THINKING
The nature has no matching at all, by any means. I wish to share my extra ordinary thinking in my school days and my eager which rose on yesterday.
I was keep asking my Teacher (Mr. SRN sir (S. Raghu Nathan)) about my doubts risen often.
One of my favorite doubts still I remember is
How would be a lightning in a place would be seen on its other side
He kept smiling, when I asked!

Now I realize the fact behind his smile.

My eagerness is that wish to see from air, the rain, the lightning by travelling in an Aeroplane. And I guess that the plane would be flying above the rainy clouds and so the lightning would also be the same like when seeing from ground with a difference of position.

BYE
Last word before leaving!

I could able to hear from my kids saying by lying topple in the bed "Arjuna, Arjuna" when thunder sounds!!!

I looked at my Grandma in anger and tried to convince my kids by saying nothing would change with it, with a half heart.

She was watching all with a smile and enthu!!!

I could able to realize her enjoyment with the kids which I missed narrowly.

DAY FIVE - 18.05.2012
There is an another rule to be noted.
* The symbol should (a half moon with a dot on top as shown below in the figure) be read as 'ing' sound when come above a letter, after pronouncing that letter.
* That too varies according to the next letter
    1. 'ing' if the next letter is in 'ka' series i.e. ka,kha,ga,gha
    2. 'inch' if the next letter is in 'sa' series i.e. sa, cha, chah, ja, jha
    3. 'in' - 'ण ' if the next letter is in 'ta' series
    4. 'inth' or 'in' - 'न' if the next letter is in 'tha' series
    5. 'm' for all other letters as the next letter.
Note: For 1 to 5 above, the writing would be only a dot above that letter (not as like for main 'ing' (half moon with a dot on top))

Rule 2
The following picture shows an example for that (how to read and write)
First is "Aankh" - 'आँख'   - Eye
Third is "Thandt" - 'दंड'   - Punishment
Rule 2 Contd

The following pictures show the samples of 3 letter & 4 letter word and a hand written copy of combination of letter along with printed copy.

3  & 4 letter words & combo of letters
Contd..Combo

The hand written copies are to realize some confusions (practical difficulties) that arise while we write. [Proverb: Others' mistakes are lessons for an Intelligent]

2. Share of Explanation of Hindi Letters
I found the following image in Omniglot website to be useful for our study.
Have a look at it and recap your memory.

3. Basic rules of Reading Hindi Letters
  1. When short letters like 'क', 'ण', 'र' and so on come as last letter of a word, they should be pronounced/read as 'K', 'N', 'R' and so on.
  2. When long letters like 'क़ा', 'णा', 'ऱा' come as last letter of a word, they should be read as such.
  3. This is applicable for a two and three letter word.
  4. For a four letter word, we should split to 2 + 2 and read the first second and second second letter as mentioned in 1 above. (If it is a long letter, no need to convert and read)
  5. For a five letter word, usually a letter would be written in special as we read and saw in Sub Heading 1 above (Consonants + its Vowels)
Have a look at the video to get clear about the rules said above

Look at the words below (two letters) and try to read as per the rule 1.

2 Letter word

Learn Hindi with Vel Day Three

Previous posts
  1. Day One
  2. Day Two
Day Three-16.05.2012
As I have not completed my home work (writing all the resultant letters of combination of Main Letters 1 & 2, five times), wrote the same in class. The teacher told to complete them first and shall move to the next.
So friends, first complete all the home works before moving to next day's posts.!!!    ????
And an important think learnt on the third day in the combination of letters is, there is no resultant letter for the combination of 'ॠ' and 'ल'
Have a look at the video for more clarity.
This is for the day. My fingers were in pain since I wrote lot of pages as home work. It is necessary to learn writing and memorizing with home works. Say and write and one more thing try to bring the letters in your mind and write rather than to see and write.

Power of Internet

TWO IN ONE
This is my proudest post for You (introduced by Purushothaman) and entry for Vodafone's contest- Internet is fun

Introduction
When I was studying in school (I think during my STD VIII), I was among the one of the 5 students who were allowed to access computer in our school. That was too happened twice in that year.
On those days, the computer was itself a miracle to us and drawing lines, circles and doing simple calculations (Now I guess that system may had been set up with command prompt (dos) operating system)
It was like flying when I was using an internet connection (dial up) in my starting days of working (before 10-12 years)
But even now, I am quite in buoyancy about using internet in my mobile phone.

Development
The computer -Hardware, software and its accessories' development is limitless and unbelievable now. The connection between the computers spread all over the world is termed as Internet.

The growth of Internet and its service providers are amazing and still growing. Any object-inventory-page has two sides. Internet also could not bypass it. Yes Internet has the equal number of advantages and disadvantages. It depends on the people handling it.

I wish to register one of the positives, advantages of Internet. This could not be possible without the help (in the name of introduction) from Mr. Purushothaman, my Indi Co Blogger.

It is a website designed by two persons Avinash MB and Santosh AR. I wish to give an introduction only (about the website and process). It is meant for customers in India only.
The website provides a portal for registering your grievances about any product, service other than government matters in INDIA.
The website claims that they would contact the customer for their grievance and confirmation before posting in their website for genuineness.
They claim that the complaints registered and posted in their website create a powerful negative traffic against the service providers, brands and products which in term indirectly force the particular service provider, brand, product to correct their mistakes.
I wish the one and all my co blogging friends to pass this message and visit the website for more details.
The website also states that they do not bear any responsibility for the sorting of corresponding grievance or any further follow ups.

Power of Internet
Any initial in the aim of goodness of the people is SERVICE to the human. Since the world is shifting towards internet for relations, business and development, the power of internet is increasing like giants.

Conclusion
I wish to conclude this post with a proverb,
  " Anything with you within your needs is your servant;
Anything with you more than your needs is your boss"

You chose between, who are you?
